Asr Prayer Timing

Asr is calculated using two methods:

- Mithl 1 (Non-Hanafi): When an object’s shadow equals its length.

- Mithl 2 (Hanafi): When an object’s shadow is twice its length.

At Ponders End Islamic Centre, jamā‘ah is 15–30 minutes after Mithl 2, with Adhān 15 minutes before.

We recognise and accommodate both opinions to ensure all worshippers can pray comfortably. For Hanafi Asr timings, refer to the 2025 prayer calendar.
